Can I use the LA\VIK indoors?
Yes, the LA\VIK Interior Fireplace is designed for indoor use!
What is the average burning time?
The LA\VIK indoor fireplace has an average burning time of 3 hours at full capacity when the indoor ring is applied.
Does the LA\VIK give off heat?
Yes, the LA\VIK Tischkamin produces around 0.7 kW of cozy warmth. However, it’s not intended to heat a room—its purpose is to create a relaxing, intimate atmosphere that invites warmth and comfort.
Can I place my LA\VIK on any surface (incl. glass or plastic)?
Any surface is fine, as long as it is stable and not slippery. Thanks to the VentraCore (TM) System, the base of the LA\VIK stays cool even after hours of operation.
Can I use it outdoors aswell?
Yes! The LA\VIK Interior Fireplace is perfect for outdoor use on terraces, balconies, or in your garden. It’s an ideal addition to summer evenings, adding warmth and ambiance to your outdoor space.
Is the fireplace waterproof?
We do not recommend that the LA\VIK fireplace is placed in an area that is wet, or will be rained on. Ensure that the wall/table/floor where you place
the device can support the weight and allows for a stable stand and is not slippery.
How do I clean my fireplace?
Should your device need to be cleaned, refer to the handbook to carefully dismantle the device entirely before cleaning. The glass element can be cleaned with a soft microfiber cloth and glass cleaner. The metal elements can be gently cleaned with a microfiber cloth. The stones can be cleaned under water and completely dried before reassembly.
What fuel do I need to use?
The LA\VIK Interior Fireplace has been designed to exclusively use Bioethanol Fuel. Only a 96.6% multiply rectified bioethanol of pharmaceutical grade purity is appropriate for combustion in fireplaces. Refer to the handbook for safety instructions regarding filling and refilling the burner.
What is Bioethanol and why is it a sustainable option?
Bioethanol is a renewable fuel made from plant-based materials like corn and sugarcane. It’s an eco-friendly alternative to traditional fuels because it burns cleanly, producing only water vapor and minimal CO2. This makes it a responsible choice for those who want to enjoy the warmth and beauty of a fireplace while minimizing their environmental impact.
Is Bioetahnol fuel included in the delivery?
No, Bioethanol is not included in the delivery. The LA\VIK Interior Fireplace is designed to exclusively use Bioethanol Fuel, and we recommend purchasing a 96.6% multiply rectified ethanol of pharmaceutical grade purity for safe combustion. Please refer to the handbook for safety instructions on filling and refilling the burner.
How much bioethanol fuel do i need?
To operate the LA\VIK Fireplace, you'll need up to 300 ml of bioethanol fuel, which is its maximum filling capacity. With this amount of fuel, the fireplace can burn for up to 3 hours continuously, providing a warm and cozy ambiance.
Are tabletop fireplaces safe?
Yes, tabletop fireplaces are safe when used properly. Our fireplaces meeting high inspection criteria and testing standards, including EN 16647. They are certified and designed for indoor use, featuring our Ventracore system for added safety. We highly recommend using products that meet the specific regulations for this product category. Carefully read through the accompanying handbook, which includes all assembly and safety instructions.
How do you extinguish a possible fire with ethanol fuel?
Should you encounter a fire fuelled by ethanol, extinguish the burning, spilled ethanol with a Class B fire extinguisher. Alternatively, use a flame retardant blanket to smother the flames. Never attempt to extinguish burning ethanol with wateror by blowing on it!

Can I see the fireplace in a store before buying?
Can I see the fireplace in a store before buying?While our fireplaces are not sold in stores, they do occasionally appear at events, exhibitions, or other public spaces where you can experience them firsthand. Where do you deliver to?
We currently offer delivery within EU and Switzerland.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is free on all orders.
How long is the delivery?
You can expect a delivery time of 2-5 business days. Once you have placed your order, you will receive a tracking link, which will provide you will all details.
How do I get replacement parts?
We are confident that the quality of our LA\VIK device and all individual parts will mean that this question never needs to be answered, but if the worst happens, please email us directly at hello@glor-design.com.
